Password Manager Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Password Manager (package name dana.farah.passman) handles information when you use the application.
Information stored in your vault
Password Manager lets you save site or account names, usernames, passwords, and optional notes. This vault information is stored locally on your device using authenticated encryption. The application does not create an online account and does not transmit your vault entries or master password to the developer.
Your master password is used to derive an encryption key. Recovery answers are normalized and used to derive a recovery encryption key; they are not stored as readable answers. If you enable biometric unlock, Android's biometric system and Android Keystore are used. The application does not receive or store your fingerprint or facial biometric data.
Clipboard
When you choose to copy a username or password, that value is placed on the Android system clipboard so you can paste it into another application. Password Manager attempts to clear the copied value after 30 seconds. Other applications or system services may be able to access clipboard content according to Android's rules, so copy sensitive information only when needed.
Advertising and automatically collected data
Password Manager uses Google AdMob, provided through the Google Mobile Ads SDK, to display banner and interstitial advertisements. The SDK may automatically collect and share information such as your IP address (which may indicate general location), interactions with the application and advertisements, diagnostic and performance information, and device or account identifiers such as the Android Advertising ID and app set ID. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit.
Advertising may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your region, consent choices, Google settings, and device advertising settings. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID through your Android device settings where supported.
For more information, review Google's Privacy Policy, Google's advertising technologies, and the Google Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure.
Permissions
- Internet and network state: used to request and display advertisements.
- Biometric and fingerprint access: used only when you choose biometric vault unlocking.
Data sharing
The developer does not sell your vault information. Vault contents remain on your device. Information collected through the Google Mobile Ads SDK is processed and shared with Google as described above and may be handled by Google's advertising partners according to their policies.
Data retention and deletion
Vault information remains on your device until you delete individual entries, clear the application's storage, or uninstall the application. Android backup is disabled for Password Manager. Advertising data is retained by Google according to Google's policies. Requests about data processed by Google should be made using Google's privacy controls or contact channels.
Security
Password Manager uses AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption for vault information and uses password-based key derivation to protect encryption keys. Release builds also prevent ordinary screenshots and screen recording. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection. Keep your master password and recovery answers private, keep your device updated, and use a secure device lock.
Children's privacy
Password Manager is not directed to children under 13 and the developer does not knowingly collect children's personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information through an advertising service, contact the developer and the applicable service provider.
International processing
Google and its service providers may process advertising and diagnostic information in countries other than your country of residence, subject to Google's privacy terms and applicable legal safeguards.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to Password Manager, third-party services, or legal requirements. The effective date above will be changed when the policy is updated.
